We believe bold leadership should never be limited by budget constraints. In partnership with Explore Edmonton, we are proud to offer 6 scholarships for this year’s Engaging Associations Forum. These scholarships are designed to support association professionals at every stage of their leadership journey, from navigating the day-to-day to shaping the future. Whether you are a rising star or leading solo, this is your opportunity to join a transformational experience that will help you engage, learn, and lead with purpose.
Scholarship Categories:
- National Association Executive: For One Not-For-Profit or Association Executive Director/CEO/President leading a Canadian Association who maintain a staff of more than five employees
- Provincial Association Executive: For One Not-For-Profit or Association Executive Director/CEO/President leading a Provincial Association who maintain a staff of more than five employees
- Association Management Company: For One President/Owner, or a senior role (Vice-President, for example) of an Association Management Company (AMC) who currently manages at least one organization (can be a provincial or national organization)
- Small Staff Association Executive: This scholarship is dedicated to an Executive Director/CEO/President of an organization is either the sole staff representative of the organization, or maintains a staff of five employees or less. For this scholarship, applications for both provincial and national organizations will be accepted.
- Young Professional: A Young Professional, for the purposes of this scholarship, is defined as an employee of either a provincial or national association, who has an interest in continuing their career in the association/not-for-profit industry, and is 35 years old or younger.
- Event Professional: An event/conference/meeting professional (or related job function) whose primary role is to plan the association’s conferences or events. This professional must work for either a provincial or national organization on a full-time basis.
What your Scholarship includes:
As a recipient of the scholarship program, you will receive one complimentary registration to the Engaging Associations Forum (July 22-24, 2026), valued at $799. This registration includes all sessions, meals, welcome reception and birds of a feather dinner as outlined in our program.
What your Scholarship does NOT include:
Scholarship recipients will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs.
How to Apply:
Applying is EASY – applications are being accepted for each category on a rolling basis.
Those applying must submit the application form below, or by submitting a short video (up to five minutes) via email to Mahoganey Jones team@engagingassociations.com, providing the following information:
- Your full name, job title, and organization
- Which scholarship you are applying for
- Answer one of (or, both!) of the following questions:
- What have you done in the last 12 months to ensure your association is at the forefront of innovation and change? (This can be related to organization-wide initiatives, or can be related to your departmental responsibilities or your job function/role).
- What do you intend to do in the next 12-18 months to ensure your association is at the forefront of innovation and change? (This can be related to organization-wide initiatives, or can be related to your departmental responsibilities or your job function/role).
- Answer the following questions:
- What made you decide to apply for this scholarship? Why do you want to attend the Engaging Associations Forum?
- What outcomes (or, as we call them, A-HA moments) are you hoping to gain as a result of attending the Engaging Associations Forum?
Don’t be shy….the more creative the submission, the better!
We will confirm receipt of your application within 2 business days of receiving it.
Applications will be reviewed by a committee of the event producer(s) (Event Specialists Inc.) on a rolling basis.
All applicants will be notified of their status no later than Monday, May 25th.
